Lightspeed Demonstration

This 15-second animation is an aid in visualizing just how fast lightspeed is. It shows the Earth and Moon disappearing beneath your feet at light speed. Expect a moment's delay, about 30 sec. @ 56K modem speed, while the animation data is retrieved. The sequence might play haltingly at first on some systems, only on initial load.
